LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP - The Board of Commissioners race will be a crowded one this election, with eight candidates who are competing for three four-year seats.Three incumbents and five newcomers filed petitions by the 4 p.m. deadline Thursday to run in the May 13 nonpartisan elections.Incumbents:n Mayor DiAnne C. These kindergarten politics have to cease," Palmer said.Gove said she is not running on a team but will work with anyone who is elected."I want to work with anyone who wants to work for what is best for Long Beach Township," Gove said.The other candidates were not available for comment Thursday evening.Candidate Joseph Mancini is the son of the late Jim Mancini who served as township mayor for 32 years.
