Stafford store recalls meat that could contain metal

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP - A supermarket is voluntarily recalling some of its store-made ground beef.

ShopRite of Manahawkin, located in the Stafford Square shopping center on Route 72, says some of the ground beef and meatloaf mix made in the store Thursday contains small flecks of metal from a broken meat grinder.

The store says no injuries have been reported, and it's offering refunds for customers who return the products.

The meat in question includes several types of ground beef, but not the store-made hamburger patties.

The items all have a ShopRite logo with a sell-by date of March 20.
