TOMS RIVER - A juvenile court proceeding was held today in the case against 17-year-old Danielle Manzoni who is charged with second-degree vehicular homicide in the death of Amanda Policastro. The outcome of the proceeding is confidential because Manzoni is a juvenile, according to Senior Assistant Ocean County Prosecutor Anthony Pierro.

"In the event that she pleads guilty to something it will be released at sentencing," Pierro said. "But I cannot comment further because everything that happened today is confidential."

Manzoni was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide in May and entered a plea of not guilty. She was driving the night of Nov. 16 when her best friend and passenger 17-year-old Amanda Policastro was killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway southbound near milepost 63.4 in Stafford Township.
