Students pumpkin up downtown Barnegat
Published: Thursday, October 09, 2008
A group of Barnegat High School art students helped prepare downtown Barnegat for Halloween on Tuesday and Wednesday by decorating local businesses. "It's a real positive for the community," said art teacher Linda Schuler. The art program was contacted by The Hurricane House restaurant, and eventually the other area businesses joined in to have their storefronts decorated, Schuler said. This is the first year the art students used their skills to decorate downtown. Schuler said businesses have already signed up for Thanksgiving. "It's just going to expand from here," she said.
