Atlantic City has long been known as a great place to gamble, get some sun on the beach and have great dining experiences, but recently, it's also been solidifying itself as a top shopping resort.
With the addition of The Walk, The Pier Shops at Caesars and The Quarter at the Tropicana, there are plenty of opportunities to drop your cash other than the slot machines.

The Walk
The Walk, aka The Atlantic City Outlets, features more than 100 stores, including 13 eateries and restaurants. Located at the foot of the Atlantic City Expressway, the outlets span four blocks from Columbus Boulevard to Ohio Avenue and offer items in everyone's price range.
For high-end shoppers, factory outlets like Polo/Ralph Lauren, Coach, Calvin Klein, St. John Knits and Perry Ellis will certainly be attractive, but there are a slew of casual clothes offerings like J. Crew, American Eagle Outfitters, Eddie Bauer, H&M and Gap. Places like BCBG Max Azria will keep you trendy. Shoe stores like Nike, Reebok, Naturalizer and Aldo are very popular. And everything from toys to cookware are offered at non-clothing stores like Yankee Candle, Corningware and K.B. Toy Outlet.
If you're looking for some Atlantic City souvenirs, stop in the Converse and Atlantic City Harley Davidson stores, where T-shirts and other A.C.-themed memorabilia can be found.
The Walk is open daily. Valet parking is available on Michigan Avenue. Parking is recommended at Caesars Atlantic City. Go to

The Pier Shops at Caesars
Located in the former Shops on Ocean One mall location, The Pier Shops at Caesars is a four-story complex that caters to high-end shoppers.
The Pier features nearly 80 stores and a third-floor dining level with restaurants that include Stephen Starr's Buddakan and The Continental, Phillips Seafood, Sonsie, a steak and seafood restaurant, Trinity Irish Pub & Carvery, Game On! sports bar and more.
Stores include Ann Taylor, bebe, Bijoux Terner, Hugo Boss, Dennis Basso, Gucci, Kenneth Cole, Louis Vuitton and more. The Art of Shaving offers men a safe haven, Apple features everything from iPods to computers, and jewelry and watches can be found at Movado and Tiffany & Co.
With stores that offer beauty and health products, candy, toys, home accessories and art, The Pier Shops at Caesars certainly offers a diverse experience for all ages and incomes.
With access from Caesars Atlantic City's skybridge or from the Boardwalk, The Pier also features "The Show," which Pier management says is the largest indoor water fountain display in a mall setting that is choreographed to lights and music.
The Pier Shops are open daily. For more information, go to

The Quarter at the Tropicana
The Quarter inside the Tropicana has garnered a great reputation for restaurants and nightclubs that include Providence, Red Square, The Palm, The Comedy Stop and Carmine's, but it also offers a shopping experience worth checking out.
Featuring 24 stores, the Old Havana-themed location features a three-story streetscape that includes clothing stores like Barron Gentlemen, Brooks Brothers, Cache, White House/Black Market, Chico's and more.
The bluemercury apothecary features a spa along with cosmetics and health products, and jewelry can be found at Brandeis Jewelers, Erwin Pearl.
Other great stores include Godiva Chocolatier, the Magic Shop, James' Saltwater Taffy, The Old Farmer's Almanac General Store, Salsa Shoes, The Spy Store, Swarovski crystal, and even Jake's Dog House for pets. If you're looking for a nice bottle of wine and a top cigar, there's Tinder Box/Vino 100.
The Quarter is open daily. For more information, go to
www.tropicana.net.

Other Shopping Options
Despite the big three shopping experiences, there are others you should be aware of.
All of the casinos have their own stores, but most only offer two or three - usually jewelry and boutique clothing stores - and are usually more expensive than stores outside of casinos.
The Boardwalk is a good place to find kitsch and Atlantic City-themed souvenirs. And, of course, you can get your palm read.
