ATLANTIC CITY -- It's still clear enough on the Boardwalk to take a run or ride a bike, but the crowds for today's Atlantic City Airshow are quickly starting to take over.

Spectators were arriving before 8 a.m. armed with beach chairs, blankets and other warm-weather paraphernalia for the show that isn't scheduled to get underway until 10:30 a.m.

The Heltzel family from Langhorne, Pa., who will be viewing the show for the first time, left their home at 6:30 a.m. in an attempt to beat the crowds, said Amy Heltzel with beach chairs and children in tow around 8:30 a.m. near Trump Plaza.

Jenna Heltzel, 10, and her friend, Gianna Tippy, also 10 and from Langhorne, said they were looking forward to seeing fast planes.
