The first of the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team landed just before 11 a.m. as the spectacle of the Atlantic City Airshow began this morning.

With orange smoke trailing from his ankles, and the masses along the beach and Boardwalk saluting the American Flag streaming behind him, the first "oohs" and "aahs" of the day were released.

He landed just as the National Anthem concluded, and his fellow team members followed.

The beach, offshore waters and roads into the city were stilled filled around 11:15 as the show continued. About five more hours remained on a beautiful day at the beach -- the best weather at the airshow in years.
