Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 22, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Sunday: Trout went 2-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in the Angels’ 7-1 victory over Seattle.

Monday: Los Angeles does not play. The Angels’ next game is Tuesday at Tampa Bay at 7:10 p.m.

Stats: Trout is hitting .330 with 22 home runs, 80 RBIs, 89 runs and 28 stolen bases in 32 chances in 123 games. He has an on-base percentage of .427, his slugging percentage is .571 and his OPS is .997.
