The Richard Stockton College softball team was swept by Rowan University in a doubleheader Tuesday, 5-2 and 4-1.

In Game 1, winning pitcher Krysti Maronski (10-3) threw a complete game, striking out six, allowing two runs and six hits. Rowan's second baseman Alysa Romero (Vineland High School) scored a run.

Michelle Pietrocola (9-3) took the loss for the Ospreys, striking out six and allowing five runs and four hits in three innings. Nicole Scanlon hit a solo homer and Nicole Chabak had a double.

In Game 2, Beth Ann Hyland (8-4) pitched a complete game for the Profs, striking out four and allowing one hit.

Losing pitcher Brittany Ksiezopolski (6-4) pitched 3� innings, allowing four runs and eight hits. Pietrocola pitched three innings, striking out four and allowing one hit.

Catcher Meagan Lee (Oakcrest High School) and right fielder Dana Cafone (Absegami High School) each scored a run for Rowan.

Stockton's first baseman Dominique Dorris was 2-for-3 with a home run.

Stockton is 15-7 overall and 4-4 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

The Ospreys host Drew University on Thursday at 3 p.m.
