Temperatures are expected to reach the 70s today and tomorrow with a small chance of thunderstorms overnight and into tomorrow evening, according to the National Weather Service office in Mt. Holly.

There will be patchy fog after 9 p.m. tonight with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. New rainfall is expected to be less than a tenth of an inch, but higher in the event of a thunderstorm.

High temperatures are expected to be near 80 Saturday with a moderate wind of seven to 14 miles per hour and a 40 percent chance of precipitation, with thunderstorms possible.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 82 and a wind of about eight miles per hour.
