St. Augustine Prep’s Tom Gattinella and Hammonton’s David Williams each joined the 100-win club on Saturday.

Gattinella (120 pounds) won all four matches he wrestled as the Hermits participated in the Jack K. Callender Jr. Memorial Rock Yard Duals at Council Rock North High School (Pa.).

Gattinella, a two-time District 32 champ and two-time state qualifier, now has 103 career wins and is the 11th wrestler in Prep history to win 100 matches.

“It just shows that I’m in an elite club with all those other guys,” Gattinella said. “It shows that I was one of the elite wrestlers to go through the Prep.”

Gattinella said he was happy to get past the accomplishment.

“That was one of my first goals I had written down when I got to high school my freshman year,” Gattinella said. “It’s a huge load off my chest.”

Tom Lynd (285) was the only other wrestler to win all four matches for the Prep, which lost all four duals it wrestled in.

Jarred Hodges (132) and Tyler Sentman (170) each won three of four matches at the tournament.

Williams, like Gattinella, won four matches and now stands at 103 victories for his career.

He’s the fourth wrestler in Hammonton history to surprass 100 wins.

“It felt pretty nice,” Williams said. “It’s somewhat of an honor. Not everybody gets it so it was pretty nice.”

Williams and heavyweight Robert Frederico were the only Blue Devils to win all four matches at the South Jersey Duals at Kingsway Regional.

Hammonton, dealing with injuries, won just one of its four matches.

Millville and Egg Harbor Township were also at the Duals.

Millville continued its impressive start to the season with three wins in four matches to improve to 6-1 this year.
