Can Halladay be the Halladay of 2011?

In 2011, Roy Halladay went 19-6 with a 2.35 ERA. The Phillies fell out of last season's National League East race when he went to the disabled list in May with a sore shoulder.

The signs are not good for a return to his 2011 form. He finished 11-8 with a 4.49 ERA last season and struggled in spring training. The Phillies insist Halladay is healthy. Time will tell.

Can Utley stay healthy?

Chase Utley hasn't played more than 120 games since 2009. But the knee troubles of the past few seasons haven't resurfaced yet this year. If he stays healthy, he could have a big year. Utley has extra motivation - this is the final season of his contract.

Is Brown ready to fulfill his potential?

Outfielder Domonic Brown, once among the game's top prospects, excelled in spring training with seven home runs. If he delivers on that, the 25-year-old will give the offense a big boost. He also would supply the aging Phillies with much-needed youth.
