Holy Spirit High School graduate Paul Moore waited until this week to make his college decision.

The basketball standout made a choice that he said is right for him. The 6-foot-1 Moore will attend Wilmington University, an NCAA Division II school in Delaware.

“I like the school,” Moore said Friday in a telephone interview. “It just felt like it was the right place for me. It’s amazing. I always wanted to play college basketball, and I worked so hard for this.”

Moore averaged 15.6 points and four assists per game for the Spartans last season. The Pleasantville resident finished his career with more than 1,000 career points.

Wilmington finished 6-19 last season. Moore will join two other local players at Wilmington. Middle Township graduate Shai Henry will be a Wilmington sophomore this season. Raushan Rasheed, who will be a Wilmington junior this season, played his freshmen and sophomore seasons at Atlantic City before moving to Baltimore. Moore and Rasheed played on the same traveling team before high school.
