PISCATAWAY — Rutgers athletics has formed a multimedia rights and sponsor partnership with IMG College that is guaranteed to generate $65 million plus revenue-sharing opportunities over the next 11 years.

The university announced the agreement with the nation’s leading collegiate marketing firm Wednesday, saying it will commence this school year. The partnership is designed to bring new national and corporate support and brand recognition to the Scarlet Knights.

The agreement includes IMG College’s exclusive representation and management of game broadcasts and coaches’ shows for radio and television, publications, digital assets, corporate partnerships, stadium and venue signage, game promotions, and game day hospitality.

IMG College was selected through a competitive bidding process, and Rutgers will join Michigan, Nebraska and Ohio State as Big Ten schools to partner with the outfit. The Scarlet Knights will join the conference in 2014-15.
