The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce’s 24th Annual Business @ the Beach Expo, the county’s largest single networking event, is slated for Wednesday in the Wildwoods Convention Center.
The Business @ the Beach Expo allows business people to meet with potential customers and established clients. With more 100 exhibitors and 500 business people in attendance, this is one of the county’s best opportunities to showcase products and services.
This year’s Business @ the Beach Expo will feature a special edition of the New Jersey Business Action Center, which is dedicated to revitalizing and expanding the state’s businesses.
The Business Action Center wants business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to know about the many programs and incentives available to help businesses grow and thrive.
Expo attendees will have the opportunity to visit offices of state government and gain assistance to overcome red-tape obstacles that may restrain business growth.
The Atlantic City Hotel and Lodging Association Scholarship Foundation will award scholarships to 17 students pursuing hospitality and/or culinary careers at its annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon on Tuesday at Borgata.
Tom Ballance, president and CEO of Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, a 32-year veteran of the casino industry, will give the keynote address.
Ray Bertschy, newly elected Hotel and Lodging Association president, will present the scholarship awards. Bertschy is vice president, food and beverage, for Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City.
This year’s scholarship recipients are students at Atlantic Cape Community College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, and Rutgers University. Many also work in hospitality or culinary jobs.
