Ga-briel Chandler and Jahleem Montague scored 16 points apiece as top-seeded Atlantic City High School cruised to a 67-43 victory over visiting Toms River South, the No. 16 seed, in the opening round of the South Jersey Group IV boys basketball tournament Monday.

The Vikings, who are ranked No. 1 in The Press Elite 11, are the defending South Jersey and state champions.

Isaiah Graves and Dayshawn Reynolds added 14 and 12 points, respectively, for the Vikings.

The Vikings will host eighth-seeded Southern Regional in a quarterfinal matchup Wednesday.

Triton led 26-25 only at halftime but outscored the visiting Eagles 22-5 in the third quarter. Dylan Daniluk led the Mustangs with 22 points and Kris Baylor added 16. Trey Jones topped all scorers with 26 points for EHT, and Khari Harley had 18.

Triton, the seventh seed, will travel to No. 2 Lenape, which is ranked fifth in The Press Elite 11, on Wednesday for a second-round game. Lenape defeated 15th-seeded Washington Township 59-33 on Monday.

Tom Feraco led all scorers with 21 points and nine rebounds for Middle Township in a first-round playoff game.

Darrell Shelton added 10 points, while Michah Moore scored four points, had seven rebounds and four steals for the Panthers.

Neil Peters scored a team-high 15 points for Pleasantville. Brian Gomez scored 10.

Middle will host seventh-seeded Cinnaminson on Wednesday.
