Three games dominate tonight’s high school boys basketball state tournament schedule.

Wildwood Catholic and Holy Spirit meet two of the state’s top teams in South Jersey Non-Public B quarterfinals. Wildwood Catholic plays at Trenton Catholic, while Holy Spirit hosts Gill St. Bernard. Both games start at 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, Atlantic City hosts a familiar rival in Southern Regional in a South Jersey Group IV quarterfinal. This contest also tips at 7 p.m.

Here’s a look at those three games

Wildwood Catholic (23-4) vs. Trenton Catholic (20-5)

Wildwood Catholic is the No. 8 seed and No. 4 in The Press Elite 11. Trenton Catholic is the No. 1 seed and No. 2 in The Press Elite 11. Wildwood Catholic relies on the scoring of forwards Jordan Robertson (18.5 ppg) and Eddie McWade (15.8 ppg). Trenton Catholic features junior guard Malachi Richardson, who has verbally committed to Syracuse University. Guard Myles Powell, who starred for Medford Tech last season, is now also at Trenton Catholic.

Gill St. Bernard (19-7) at Holy Spirit (20-6)

Gill St. Bernard relies on 6-5 sophomore Tyus Battle, who averages 22.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists. He sank six 3-pointers in Gill St. Bernard’s first round 69-51 win over St. Rose. Gill St. Bernard is the No. 6 seed. Holy Spirit is seeded third. The winner probably faces The Patrick School – one of the nation’s top teams.

Southern Regional (17-8) vs. Atlantic City (19-7)

After a disappointing loss in Saturday’s CAL final, second-seeded Atlantic Coty returned to form with a 74-37 first round win over Vineland. Guard Isiah Graves averages 17 points for the Vikings. Seventh-seeded Southern advanced with a 64-54 win over Kingsway Regional as 6-6 Mike Gesicki scored 31 points and grabbed 18 rebounds.

These teams met in last year’s quarterfinals with Southern nearly upsetting the Vikings before losing 61-56. Gesicki, who is one of the nation’s top college football prospects and is headed to Penn State, scored 24 points nd blocked five shots in that game. What will he do tonight?
