PISCATAWAY — Rutgers and Temple have agreed to play four more football games, starting in 2020.

Scarlet Knights athletic director Julie Hermann and Temple interim athletic director Kevin Clark announced the new four-game series on Monday.

Rutgers will play host to the Owls in 2020 and 2022, while Temple will have the Scarlet Knights in Philadelphia in 2021 and 2023.

The two schools have met 35 times, with the Scarlet Knights holding a 20-15 advantage. They posted a 35-10 victory at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia last season.

Rutgers (3-1) is moving to the Big Ten Conference next season. Temple (0-3) is a member of the American Athletic Conference.

The schools will play an AAC game at Rutgers on Nov. 2, and then not play until 2020.
