Richard Stockton College junior midfielder Leah Braidi (Sacred Heart) landed on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-East Region third team Tuesday.

Braidi owns a 3.94 grade-point average as a speech pathology major.

She started in all 24 games as the Ospreys finished 17-4-3 and second in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournaments.

Earlier this season, Braidi was selected to the Capital One Academic All-District 2 first team by the College Sports Information Directors of America for the second year in a row. She also earned a NJAC All-Academic Second-Team nod.

Ocean County College men’s basketball: The Villagers dropped to 3-9 with a 82-52 loss to host Mercer County College in a Region 19 game.

William Hawkins came off the bench to lead Ocean with 12 points. Nicholas Allen contributed with six re-bounds and three blocks.
