Miss America


The Greater Atlantic City Chamber will hold the Miss America Clambake 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Trump Plaza Beach Bar on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

All 53 Miss America contestants will attend, along with reigning Miss America Mallory Hagan. The Dr. Cheeko Island Soul Band will provide live music.

The event is open to chamber members and nonmembers. Individual tickets are $100. A table for eight is $750 and includes two Miss America contestants.

Vineland chamber

to hold luncheon

The Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce will hold a general membership luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 19 at the Greenview Inn, Vineland.

The luncheon is open to the public and will have networking opportunities.

Guest speaker will be David Brogan, first vice president of economic development and taxation for the New Jersey Business & Industry Association.

Doctors open

ob/gyn practice

Drs. Bruce Noll, Richard Michner and Joseph Milio have announced the opening of their practice, Cape OB/GYN Associates in Cape May Court House, a division of Regional Women’s Health Group.

Noll is a graduate of the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico. He has been chairman of the infection control committee, the department of obstetrics and gynecology, and the bylaws committee at Cape Regional Medical Center.

Michner also is a graduate of the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. He has been president of the medical staff at Cape Regional Medical Center and is on the Cape Regional Health System board of trustees.

Milio is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is chairman of the obstetrics and gynecology department at Cape Regional Medical Center.

Guadagno to be

at O.C. luncheon

The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly luncheon meeting at noon Thursday at Ocean City Yacht Club, 1 Bay Road.

Guest speaker is state Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno. The cost is $25 and is open to the public. Reservations required by calling (609) 399-1412.

Doctors join

Three doctors will join the Cape May Court House practice of Cape Regional Physicians Associates.

Dr. Renjy Vattasseril, gastroenterologist, is a graduate of the University of Debrecen Medical Health and Sciences Center, Debrecen, Hungary.

He recently served as attending physician in gastroenterology at Memorial Hospital of Salem County.

Dr. Anthony Masciarelli, gastroenterologist, is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine. He has been chief gastroenterologist at Kennedy Health System in New Jersey.

Dr. Patricia Falivena, neurologist, is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

She most recently served as an attending neurologist and director of outpatient clinic at Helen Hayes Hospital, which is based in West Haverstraw, N.Y.

Murray joins

charity board

Joe Murray has been named to the regional board of directors of United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.

A Wildwood native and Cape May County resident, Murray is the owner of One Off Marketing.

Score workshop

on storm help

Score, the nonprofit business mentoring organization, will hold a workshop from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 in Atlantic City to help business owners access resources they still may need to recover from damages caused by Hurricane Sandy.

The workshop will help small businesses determine if they are eligible for  government grants or loans.

The workshop will be held at the Carnegie Center of Richard Stockton College at 35 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd., Atlantic City.
