Morrissey at HOB

Morrissey, the former lead singer and lyricist of the English alternative rock band The Smiths, was supposed to perform Dec. 8 at the House of Blues Atlantic City in the Showboat Casino Hotel. That date was cancelled due to his mother's health, but Morrissey will perform the show at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Other entertainment in town Saturday includes Sylvia Browne in The Showroom at Harrah's Resort.

Gangster Gosling

In the 1940s, the Los Angeles Police Department formed what was dubbed the Gangster Squad to keep the East Coast Mafia out of the city. In the crime drama "Gangster Squad," opening Friday, Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin are both members of that police unit.

The other nationwide release is the comedy "A Haunted House." "Zero Dark Thirty" moves, which had been in limited release, moves into theaters across the country.

Solange CD

Beyonce's younger sister, Solange, releases her third recorded work, titled "True," on Tuesday. It is her first collection of new material in five years. Beyonce is 31. Solange, above, is 26. During her 10-year recording career, Solange has not had either a top-40 pop or R&B single. Solange has been compared to Beyonce in the media, but Solange says they are artistically different.
