WHO ARE THEY: The Texas Tenors are a classical/country music hybrid which gained notoriety and exposure in 2009 as finalists on “America’s Got Talent.” The trio released its self-titled debut album in 2009 and a year later they began an extended engagement at the Starlite Theater in Branson, Missouri. In December 2013, The Texas Tenors released “You Should Dream,” which featured two original songs and covers of “God Bless America,” “Unchained Melody” and “Wild Horses.”
WHAT TO EXPECT: What do you get when you mix three guys with cowboy hats, operatic vocals and a song repertoire that includes everything from show tunes and country hits to classic rock songs and patriotic hymns? No, it’s not a big, stinking mess it’s The Texas Tenors. This trio of singers made a name for themselves on “Americas Got Talent” back in 2009 and since that time have been entertaining audiences with their unique take on music of various genres. Fans can expect to hear a little bit of everything this weekend when the Texas Tenors perform at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City.
