WHO IS HE: Gavin DeGraw is a singer songwriter who got his first taste of success in 2003 when his song “I Don’t Want to Be” became the theme song for the television show “One Tree Hill.” Degraw’s debut album “Chariot” was released in July of that same year and featured the hit songs “Follow Through” and “Chariot” in addition to “I Don’t Want to Be.” In 2008,the singer released the single “In Love With a Girl,” which was followed by a self-titled album which reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200. “Free” came out in 2009. Degraw’s fourth album “Sweeter” was released in September 2011 and featured the single “Not Over You,” which was a top 20 hit.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Pop/rock singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw will be performing his collection of catchy hits Friday night at the House of Blues inside Showboat Casino Hotel. The New York native became popular in the early 2000s with his light, upbeat style and has released five albums to date. Fans can expect to hear hits such as “I Don’t Want to Be,” “Chariot,” “Follow Through” and “In Love With a Girl” as well as material from DeGraw’s new album “Make a Move” like the single Not Over You.”

WHAT’S NEW: DeGraw’s latest album “Make a Move” was released in October 2013 and reached No. 10 on the Billboard 200. The first single from the album was “Best I Ever Had.”
