WHO ARE THEY: Ring of Combat is a mixed martial arts competition organized by world kickboxing champion Louis Neglia. The events have proven to be quite popular and successful in Atlantic City. Past events have been set up as a Tournament of Champions, with the winners receiving cash prizes. Several top fighters including Matt Serra, Frank Edgar, Josh Koscheck and Kurt Pellegrino began their careers with Ring of Combat.

WHAT TO EXPECT: It will be another action-packed mixed martial arts extravaganza at Tropicana Casino and Resort Friday night as Ring of Combat rolls back into town with its 47th installment. The event features 12 stellar matchups including Kenny Gaudreau vs. Gregor Gillespie, Jim Boudourakis vs. Gil Isabel, Mike Elshamy vs. Oluwale Bamgbose, Darren Mima vs. Merab Dvalishvilli and Jonathan Hughes vs. Stephen Regman. Also on the bill are matchups between Mike Santiago and Frankie Perez, Leodegario Muniz and Jose Villanueva, Elijah Harshbarger and Chris Cope, Adam Kantaev and James Jenkins and Keith Berish and Ariel Sepulveda. MMA fans will also get to see Jason McLean take on Julio Arce and Pat DeFranco battle Chris Wade.

SHOW INFO: Tickets are $50, $60, $75 and $125, and the fights begin 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Tropicana’s Showroom.
