Dusk Management Group is doing everything to take advantage of the space it has inside Caesars Atlantic City.
Not only does it operate Dusk, one of the most popular clubs in the city, but it fared very well with The Boardwalk Beer Garden, a seasonal bar focusing on beer that debuted in the summer.
Now, Dusk Management will open 21 Bar @ Dusk, a departure from the typical casino lounge because it will mix a lot of great things in life: gambling, good beer and liquor, awesome music and even sports.
“This is not a lounge lizard type of place,” says Eric Millstein, president of Dusk Management Group. “The music will be a big part of that. When we have bands, they will be rock bands. Then it can transition to club or house or stay rock ‘n’ roll. We have the capability to do anything we want in there.”
Located on the second floor of the casino near the entrance for Dusk, the magenta-and-tangerine-colored 21 Bar also will feature a pub-style wooden bar, illuminated panels, private seating, nine high-definition plasma televisions, a state-of-the-art sound and light system, DJs, live music and a dance floor.
21 Bar will be open daily and will offer a little something for everyone, whether it’s an escape from the crowded club or a place to grab a drink before or after dinner. The bar’s televisions also will feature all of the sports packages so all of the games can be seen.
“It’s going to be a great place to people watch,” Millstein says. “We want to really create some excitement there. We are on the 50-yard line at Caesars in terms of excitement and the hub of the place, and we thought 21 Bar would be another way to take advantage of it 365 days a year.”
The name not only implies how old you have to be to party there, but also that there will be 21 varieties of vodkas, tequilas, beers and specialty drinks that fuse modern styles with classic cocktails. And the current Dusk-themed blackjack tables — also called 21 — now will seem like they are part of the club.
“We are going to take advantage of the 21 theme,” Millstein says. “We are working on eventually setting up some bartop slots in there. The bar is about 21 feet long … there are a lot of things we can play off using the 21 theme. We want 21 Bar to be very high-end, warm and engaging with an edgy feel to it.”
The new bar will mean lines will form differently to get into Dusk, and Millstein says that will create even more excitement there when it is expected to open on New Year’s Eve.
“We are located right at the base of The Pier Shops,” Millstein says. “And we want it to be very exciting around Dusk. We want people to come here pre- or post-dinner, pre- or post-show from the Circus Maximus Theater. We want there to be a lot of hoopla around the Dusk area so that it feels like everyone has a place to go. We are trying to be a little bit of everything. No one is doing what we are doing in Atlantic City as an independent operator with three businesses in one place like this. It’s pretty exciting.”
