Flip Flopz Beach Bar & Grill is worth checking out

Flip Flopz Beach Bar & Grill is an eye-catching place in North Wildwood's Anglesea entertainment district. Open less than a year, it has a fresh, new feel, with bright colors inside and out.

El Fishstixx in Margate scores big with this clan

Restaurateurs Carmen Rone and Karen Sherman get a lot of culinary kudos for Tomatoe's, a trendy Margate restaurant that specializes in American cuisine with Italian and Asian influences. You don't hear nearly as much about El Fishstixx, a cool Southwest-influenced restaurant and bar located right behind Tomatoe's on North Washington Avenue.

Boyd's Texas Style BBQ Restaurant disappoints a bit

I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived in Wildwood about 6 p.m. on the Tuesday before the Fourth of July and easily found a street parking space within a block of the Boardwalk. We put a couple of quarters in the meter and headed up to try Boyd's Texas Style BBQ Restaurant.
