Patrons can once again sample delicious entrees, desserts and breads from the chefs of tomorrow.

Careme's, the student-run gourmet restaurant at the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, is back open for business now that classes are back in session.

Through Monday, Feb. 11, diners also can enjoy student-prepared lunch and dinner buffets for $14.95. After the buffets shut down, guests can still indulge in Careme's a la carte menu, which has entrees for $14.95 during lunch and prices ranging from $14.95 to $19.95 for dinner.

Careme's buffet includes options of chilled or gourmet salads, aromatic soups, pasta, vegetables and an assortment of meat and fish.

For a la carte options, guests can choose between pork Milanese ($16), braised beef ($16), eggplant rollatini ($16) and more.

With the option of tableside cooking, students at the ACA prepare the dessert pastries, breads and rolls and learn under a chef educator.

If great food wasn't enough, Careme's also has live entertainment. As part of Careme's Cafe Series, folk musician Peter Mulvey will take the stage 7 p.m. Feb. 28. Tickets are $35.

Careme's seats at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and 6:30 p.m. for dinner Mondays through Fridays through May, while classes are in session. The restaurant will be closed for the summer but will open in September for the fall semester.
