Prepare those taste buds, because Egg Harbor City will be hosting its first-ever International Taste of the Town Sunday, April 29.
Starting at 4 p.m., guests will be able to sample dining from 14 restaurants and eateries from around town at Egg Harbor City Ambulance Hall. The restaurants include everything from Chinese to Italian to Puerto Rican and American offerings.
Live music will also be on hand to keep everyone entertained. The all-girl rock band Blondage and local singer-guitarist Scott Senn will be playing at the event.
Participating restaurants include Al's Luncheonette, Assaggio, Billy's Oak Grove Inn, Harbor Diner, Hime, Irish Eyes Pub, Jonny Boy's, Joseph's Restaurant, Mario's Uptown Grill, Pepe's, Rastelli Seafood, Rusty Barrel and Venice Grill.
For anyone looking to satisfy a sweet tooth, Do Yourself a Flavor will provide hand-dipped ice cream for make-your-own sundaes and Simply Sweet Cupcakes will have cupcakes with an international theme for dessert.
The tasting also will include gift baskets, door prizes and contests. One winner will get a gift certificate to the participating restaurant of their choice.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door for the event.
