North Wildwood has a brand new restaurant to taste this summer. North End American Grill celebrates its grand opening Friday, June 1, in a North End location that's perfect for relaxing and mingling in Cape May County.

The restaurant plans to offer upscale bar food and American cuisine in a northern California surf atmosphere.

Behind the restaurant concept is the Barnabei family, who also owns the Concord Cafe in Avalon and Marie Nicole's in Wildwood Crest.

Aside from its food, it boasts the East Coast's longest, custom-built surfboard bar at 38 feet. That's sure to get you in the mood for summer.

Patrons can enjoy the bar on the outdoor patio that is complete with bamboo benches to set the tone of the party.

Daily happy hour specials will last from 4 to 7 p.m., and with a bar selection of beers, wines, cocktails and specialty margaritas, you will definitely want to stop by.

Dining options will include tasty appetizers such as fresh fish tacos and pulled pork sliders, plus creative upscale entrees including BBQ-glazed mahi mahi with pineapple fried rice or bacon-wrapped filet mignon.
