Kung Fu and Karate Expo in Atlantic City
More than 36 Kung Fu and Karate masters will come together for a full day of demonstrations, seminars and classes for the daylong Chinese Kung Fu and Karate Expo, taking place Saturday, July 7, at The Pier at Caesars in Atlantic City.
The event takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will include special guests, food, vendors and a barbecue contest. Representatives from Radiant Pictures and Warrior Clan also will be on hand.

Jazz on the Beach presents Odean Pope
Philadelphia saxophone legend Odean Pope will take the Kennedy Plaza stage this Thursday to kick off the 13th annual Chicken Bone Beach Jazz on the Beach Series - a series of free summer concerts taking place every Thursday.
The Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation, Inc., and Atlantic City Free Public Library present this free concert series, which takes place on Thursdays in July and August from 7 to 10 p.m. at Kennedy Plaza, located on the Atlantic City Boardwalk between Mississippi and Georgia avenues.
Famed for the husky sounds he produces on the sax, Pope spent more than two decades as a member of the Max Roach Quartet. The Brenda Bass Ensemble is the opening act.
Listeners can also tune in to Stockton College Radio Station WLFR 91.7 FM on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. for Chicken Bone Beach hour.

African Dance and Drum Ensemble
Intense drumming, ancestral dancing and stilt walking will come to the Atlantic City Boardwalk when The Universal African Dance and Drum Ensemble performs on Wednesday, July 11, as part of the 5th annual Atlantic City Library International Night Series.
The weekly series, co-sponsored by the library and City of Atlantic City and funded in part by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, will feature 90-minute live performances at Kennedy Plaza, located on the Boardwalk between Mississippi and Georgia avenues. All shows are free and begin at 7 p.m.
Based in Camden, Universal African Dance and Drum delivers one electrifying performance after another, dazzling spectators with performances that are acrobatic, energetic and educational.

Jay & The Americans in Cape May
Jay & The Americans will kick off the 11th annual Stockton Goes to the Beach Summer Concert Series Monday, July 9, when the weekly series officially moves to its new home at Cape May Convention Hall in Cape May.

Bacon Brothers in Ocean City
The Bacon Brothers will headline a new summer concert series in Ocean City 8 p.m. Monday, July 9, at the Ocean City Music Pier.
The band, made up of actor Kevin Bacon and his brother, Michael, is part of an eight-concert series on Monday nights in July and August. The series, under new concert promoter Bob Rose, replaces the Stockton Goes to the Beach concert series, which recently moved to Cape May Convention Hall.
