Passion Vines Whiskey master class features great spirits and food at Greate Bay in S.P.

Simon Brooking, master ambassador for Laphroaig & Ardmore Single Malt Scotch whiskey, will travel to Somers Point's Greate Bay Country Club on Wednesday, March 13, to lead an unparalleled Master Class on all things whiskey.

Brooking will be joined by Joanne Ryan, renowned Irish whiskey expert and brand ambassador for Kilbeggan Distilling Company. Together, Simon and Joanne will guide attendees through a comparative tasting of four scotches and four Irish whiskeys

A welcome reception begins at 6 p.m., with the formal event beginning at 6:30 p.m. Cheeses from Philadelphia's Di Bruno Brothers and chocolate from Madecasse will be offered during the class to complement tasting experiences. After the event, guests will enjoy food prepared by Greate Bay, and will be welcome to enjoy a signature cocktail and choice cigar in the comfort of a heated balcony.

'The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged)' at Eagle Theatre

The Eagle Theatre will continue its Main Stage Season with the comedy "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)," running now through March 23.

"The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" features three actors performing shortened versions of all of Shakespeare's 37 plays in under 97 minutes. Since debuting in 1987, "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" has become one of the world's most popular productions. The play is notable for holding the self-proclaimed record for the fastest performance of Hamlet, clocking in at 43 seconds, as well as the fastest performance of Hamlet performed backwards, clocking in at 42 seconds.

Shows run 8 p.m. March 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, 21, 22 and 23, and 3 p.m. March 10 and 17. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $30 for front rows. The Eagle Theatre is located at 208 Vine St., Hammonton. Go to TheEagleTheatre.com or call the box office at 609-704-5012.
