Ladies, Trey Songz is ready and willing to please his core audience - you.
Dressed in black tie and sunglasses, the R&B idol has been working up a frenzy among the mostly female crowds on his current tour.
"Since his debut album, 2005's 'I Gotta Make It,' the star has experienced upgraded comments from female fans, starting with "Awww, he's cute" to the current "Damn, he's sexy!'" writes Las Vegas Sun critic Brjden Crewe about a mid-February show at the Palms.
"And he's not only elevated the sexual content in his music, Songz also has raised his abilities as a performer."
Mixing in new songs with catalog material, Songz is offering up his latest single, "Sex Ain't Better Than Love," along with tracks from his "Inevitable" EP and "Anticipation 2" mixtape, and hits such as "Scratchin' Me Up," "Be Where You Are" and "Neighbors Know My Name," on the tour, which stops at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort's Mark G. Etess Arena on Friday, March 2.
With "Sex Ain't Better Than Love," Songz showed off Usher-like moves and posed while fans took photos with their cellphones, while during "Jupiter" he encouraged women to live their fantasies about him, Crewe writes.
For "Bomb," his paean to female sexual power, Songz made sure fans got their money's worth by partially stripping down during a show at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, Calif.
"Trey figured it was time to tease the ladies with more than just his sexual and seductive lyrics and singing voice; it was time for the eye candy that the ladies were screaming for," writes Connie Tang in Singersroom.com. "As each layer of clothing came off, the screams in the venue became more and more deafening. The neighboring inhabitants of the Paramount Theatre sure knew Trey's name by the end of that night."
Songz also performed DJ Drama's "Oh My" with opener Big Sean, who will also come to Atlantic City.
The rapper, with DJ Mo Beatz, is getting the party started each night with an upbeat survey of his hits ("My Last," "Marvin & Chardonnay" and "Dance.") But the Vegas fans saved their biggest reaction for Big Sean's current hit, "Dance (A$$)," Crewe writes.
"As soon as 'Dance, dance, dance, dance… 'blasted over the loud speakers, the crowd went crazy. 'Dance (A$$)' is currently (and steadily) residing on Billboard's Hot 100 and has no plans of leaving anytime soon."
Still, the nights are mostly belonging to ladies' man Songz.
"The new prince made his presence and charm with the ladies seem effortless. The crown isn't that heavy just yet, but Songz is clearly preparing to be king," Crewe writes.
