Dinosaur Domination Dinosaurs last roamed the Earth tens of millions of years ago, but they still fascinate the public enough to appear in movies.

A remake was planned for this silent movie, but the original "King Kong" was shot instead. This is the first filmed adaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle story. Stop-motion pioneer Willis O'Brien provided the dinosaurs that made the picture a box-office hit. The movie features an expedition to a land where dinosaurs exist. A dinosaur is captured and brought back to civilization, where it causes destruction.

'The Land Before Time' (1988), left

After the death of his mother, baby brontosaurus Littlefoot (Gabriel Damon) leads orphan dinosaurs of different species on a journey in search of a mythical valley where enough greenery exists for them all to live in peace. Natural forces and the meat-eating Tyrannosaurus Rex attempt to destroy Littlefoot. This is a children's tale by former Disney animator Don Bluth.

'Jurassic Park III' (2001)

A rescue party sets out to retrieve a boy, Eric Kirby (Trevor Morgan), who gets trapped on the Lost World's Site B while trying to see the mysterious creatures living there. Paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) returns from the original "Jurassic Park," but he finds himself again in a life-and-death situation. Joe Johnston, who helmed "Jumanji," took over directing duties from Steven Spielberg.
