Cape May National Wildlife Refuge

Free family nature walks 9 a.m. Saturdays at Two Mile Beach Unit of Cape May NWR, Ocean Drive south of Wildwood Crest. Call 215-341-1044.

Cape May Point State Park

Cape May Point State Park has nature trails and museum. Call 609-884-2159.

Free Saturday programs include beginner's bird walk 9 a.m., live animal program 11 a.m., and nature walk 2 p.m.

Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge

Guided birding and nature walk 8 to 10 a.m. Fridays, starting at Forsythe NWR visitor center, off Route 9 in Oceanville, Galloway Township. Call 609-652-1665, ext. 21.

The Nature Center of Cape May

The Nature Center of Cape May, 1600 Delaware Ave., has viewing tower and store. Call 609-898-8848 to preregister for activities.

Harbor walk with seining at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; $10 adults, $5 children.

Ghost crabs beach walk 8 to 9 p.m. Thursdays at Mount Vernon Avenue; $5.

Bicycle 20-mile tour of Cape Henlopen and Lewes, Del., 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10; cost of $70 includes ferry; preregister.

Pirate cruise aboard Spirit of Cape May out of Miss Chris Marina, with food, auction, cash bar and costume contest 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14; $35 adults, $25 under 12.

Schooner Meerwald

Two-and-a-half-hour public sails aboard Bayshore Discovery Project's oyster schooner A.J. Meerwald out of Gardner's Basin, 800 N. New Hampshire Ave., Atlantic City: at 1:30 and 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 8 through 11; and at 10 a.m. Saturday. Cost: adults $35 to $45, children $15 to $22.

Five-hour transit sail to Cape May at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12; $50 adults, $25 children.

Sails out of Utsch's Marina, Cape May, at 1:30 and 5 p.m. Aug. 13 and 15.

Stranding center

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center, at 3625 Brigantine Blvd., Brigantine, offers a museum 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, tours and activities; donation requested. Call 609-266-0538 to register.

Dancing With Dolphins Island party 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at One Atlantic, top of The Pier Shops at Caesars, Atlantic City Boardwalk, with wine reception, live music by the Jim Craine Trio, silent auction and cash bar. Tickets are $75 and include MMSC membership.
