Atlantic City Aquarium

Atlantic City Aquarium at Gardner's Basin displays fish, reptiles and amphibians. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17 and 18: diver Santa show 11 a.m.; exotic animals show 2 p.m. Preschool story time 11 a.m. Tuesdays. Admission: $8 adults, $5 children. Call 609-348-2880.

Cape May

Bird Observatory

NJ Audubon's CMBO has the Research & Education Center, 600 Route 47, Middle Township, and the Northwood Center on Lily Lake in Cape May Point. Call 609-861-0700.

Free Avalon Seawatch all day every day through Dec. 22 at Seventh Street and the beach.

Weekly birding (and other) trips Dec. 15 to 21. Cost $10; show and go. Saturday: Cape May Point State Park at 8 a.m.; meet at Hawk Watch platform.

Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge

Friends of Forsythe will offer a 90-minute jitney bus tour of the wildlife drive at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17; $10 donation requested; reservation recommended by calling 609-652-1665, ext. 21.

of Cape May

Singles outings

Register now for Outdoor Club of South Jersey 7-mile hike and campfire 7 p.m. Dec. 23, starting at Wharton State Forest Atsion office, Route 206 north of Hammonton; no children, no pets; bring picnic food to share. Call 609-462-3593.

Stranding center

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center, 3625 Atlantic Brigantine Blvd., Brigantine, has a Sea Life Museum and a shop offering 'Adopt-A-Seal' gifts. Call 609-266-0538.

Wetlands Institute

Wetlands Institute, 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd., Stone Harbor, has an aquarium, displays and gift shop. Admission of $8 adults, $6 ages 3 to 12, includes activities. Call 609-368-1211.
