Atlantic City Aquarium

Atlantic City Aquarium at Gardner's Basin displays fish, reptiles and amphibians. Admission: $8 adults, $5 children. Call 609-348-2880. Preschool story time 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, followed by show.

Atlantic County parks

Cape May Bird Observatory

NJ Audubon's CMBO has the Research & Education Center, 600 Route 47, Middle Township, and the Northwood Center on Lily Lake in Cape May Point. Call 609-861-0700. Guided field trip to view the courtship behavior of long-tailed ducks and other waterfowl from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, starting in Avalon; cost is $30; preregister. Weekly birding (and other) trips Feb. 16 to 22 - Cost $10; show and go. Saturday: Birding Cape May Point State Park at 8 a.m.; meet at Hawk Watch platform. Nature photography walk at 8 a.m. at Cape May Point State Park; at Hawk Watch platform. Sunday: Winter birds on Delaware Bay marsh at 8 a.m.; meet at end of Turkey Point Road, south of Dividing Creek, Cumberland County. Monday: Birding for beginners at Cape May Point State Park at 8 a.m.; at Hawk Watch platform.

Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge

The movie "Tapped," about the bottled water industry, will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, in the refuge auditorium, 800 Great Creek Road, Galloway Township. Guided jitney tour of wildlife drive 1 p.m. Feb. 25; preregister. Preregister now for a free eight-week archery course for ages 8 and up, starting 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 26. Call 609-652-1665.

Marine mammal center

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center, 3625 Atlantic-Brigantine Blvd., Brigantine, offers group tours for a fee. Museum and gift shop open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Call 609-266-0538.

Nature Center of Cape May

N.J. Audubon's Nature Center of Cape May, 1600 Delaware Ave., has exhibits and observation tower; admission is free. Call 609-898-8848. Harbor waterfowl watch from upper deck 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays through February. Kids Can! Expo, with games, exhibits, live animals, crafts and entertainment, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 26 at Cape May City Elementary School; $6 per person.

Nature Conservancy

The Conservancy's Bayshores Center, 2350 Route 47, Delmont, has nature trails. Call 609-861-0600.

Wetlands Institute

Wetlands Institute, 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd., Stone Harbor, has an aquarium, displays and gift shop. Admission of $8 adults, $6 ages 3 to 12, includes activities. Call 609-368-1211. Film at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14; bring lunch, coffee and dessert provided; $5. Story time at 3 p.m. Wednesdays.
