Atlantic City Aquarium

Nature Center of Cape May

N.J. Audubon's Nature Center of Cape May, 1600 Delaware Ave., has exhibits and observation tower; admission is free. Call 609-898-8848.

Harbor safari with seine net 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; $10 adults, $5 ages 3 to 12.

Evening ghost crab walk 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays at Mount Vernon Avenue and beach, $5.

Beachcombing 8:30 a.m. Fridays at Second Avenue Pavilion; $10 adults, $5 ages 3 to 12.

Author Pat Sutton leads tours of private butterfly gardens 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday to Sunday, July 13 to 15; covering southern, middle and then northern Cape May County; $40; preregister.

Horse and alpaca farm tour 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 13; $10 adults, $7 ages 3 to 12; preregister.

Nature Conservancy

Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge

Guided birding and nature walks 8 to 10 a.m. Fridays, starting at visitor center, off Route 9 in Oceanville, Galloway Township.

Beach geology walk 10 a.m. Thursdays at Holgate unit, starting at bulkhead at south end of Long Beach Island. Also at Holgate: Wilderness walk 10 a.m. Fridays; shorebird walk 10 a.m. Saturdays; beachcombing 10 a.m. Sundays.

Cape May National Wildlife Refuge

Free family nature walks at 9 a.m. Saturdays at Two Mile Beach Unit of Cape May NWR, Ocean Drive south of Wildwood Crest. Call 215-341-1044.

Wetlands Institute

Wetlands Institute, 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd., Stone Harbor, has displays and gift shop. Admission $8 adults, $6 ages 3 to 12, includes activities. Call 609-368-1211.

The 30th annual Wings 'n Water Festival - with exhibits, live music, cruise, activities and auction - at multiple locations in and around Stone Harbor Thursday through Saturday, July 12 to 14. All-access pass $7 adults, $5 children.
