Atlantic County Parks

Register now for free nature classes for 3- to 5-year-old preschoolers at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Aug. 2 at Fox Nature Center, Atlantic County Park at Estell Manor, Route 50 south of Mays Landing.

Bird Observatory

Cape May National Wildlife Refuge

Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge

Guided birding and nature walks 8 to 10 a.m. Fridays, starting at visitor center, off Route 9 in Oceanville, Galloway Township.

Beach geology walk 10 a.m. Thursdays at Holgate unit, starting at bulkhead at south end of Long Beach Island. Also at Holgate: Wilderness walk 10 a.m. Fridays; shorebird walk 10 a.m. Saturdays; beachcombing 10 a.m. Sundays.
