Atlantic City Aquarium

Atlantic City Aquarium at Gardner's Basin displays fish, reptiles and amphibians. Winter break schedule daily through Monday, Dec. 31: diver show 11 a.m.; ray feeding noon and 3 p.m.; exotic animal show 2 p.m. Admission: $8 adults, $5 children. Call 609-348-2880.

Atlantic County Parks

Free two-hour social hike at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Fox Nature Center, Atlantic County Park at Estell Manor, Route 50 south of Mays Landing. Call 609-645-5960.

Cape May Bird Observatory

NJ Audubon's CMBO has the Research & Education Center, 600 Route 47, Middle Township, and the Northwood Center on Lily Lake in Cape May Point. Closed to Monday, Dec. 31. Call 609-861-0700.

Field trip to kick off annual bird list 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, starting in Cape May Point. Last year found 76 species. Cost is $35; preregister.

Cape May Point State Park

Cape May Point State Park has nature trails and museum. Call 609-884-2159.

Wetlands Institute

Wetlands Institute, 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd., Stone Harbor, has displays and gift shop. Admission $8 adults, $6 ages 3 to 12, includes activities. Closed Dec. 27 and 31. Call 609-368-1211.
