Local artist Jen Tracy brings her watercolor and ink depictions of the modern world to the Ocean City Arts Center through March 31.

A "Meet the Artist" reception will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 9. The event is free.

A resident of Galloway Township and a former mural artist, Tracy's work can be found throughout public areas in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Georgia, where she earned her art degree. Her watercolor and ink paintings are all created on site, including her new street scene view of the "Occupy Wall Street" crowd last fall. Tracy begins each painting as a watercolor abstraction, then uses a drafting pen to measure and define the drawing. She refines the shapes and shadows again with watercolor paint.

All the art work in the show is for sale. The Ocean City Arts Center is located in the Community Center at 1735 Simpson Ave., Ocean City. Call 609-399-7628 or go to www.oceancityartscenter.org
