The Noyes Museum of Art of Stockton College features 32 New Jersey artists in the Associate Artist exhibition, running to Jan. 19.
The Noyes Museum’s Associate Artists are considered “emerging artists” who were selected and awarded this competitive designation from the museum, according to the museum director.
The exhibit displays new works by these artists in a variety of media.
One of the featured artists is Millville’s MaryAnn Cannon, whose etching entitled “Moonlight Magic” is a highlight of the exhibition. The piece is a sepia toned image of a nighttime forest with cast shadows and dramatic light of the full moon.
Area artists included in the exhibit are: Robert M. The Art Gallery at Shore Medical Center, located on the second floor of the Surgical Pavilion, in Somers Point, showcases the works from a trio of local artists: Paul Harrington, of Linwood; Katherine Mott, of Somers Point; and Frank Smith, of Ocean City.
