Total Rewards is offering a new player benefit that could potentially reduce customers' vehicle fuel costs by up to $10 per month. The four Total Rewards casinos in Atlantic City are Bally's Atlantic City, Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah's Resort and Showboat Casino-Hotel.
Fuel rewards accumulate automatically based on play at these four casinos, as well as more than 40 others around the country, and at Caesars Windsor in Ontario, Canada. Earning up to 2,500 tier credits – in 500 tier increments – could generate up to a 50¢/gallon discount on the purchase of up to 20 gallons of Shell gasoline. To increase their per gallon discounts, participants in another loyalty program that's part of the Fuel Rewards Network (CVS, Rite Aid, etc.) can combine rewards earned through Total Rewards.
Rewards earned during one month expire at the conclusion of the following month. For example, any rewards you earn in August will expire September 30.
Participation, which is optional, requires registration of a player's Total Rewards card number with the Fuel Rewards Network (FRN). The easiest way to do this is online at www.fuelrewards.com.
Players can earn a maximum of five 10¢/gallon fuel rewards per month. After that the credits stop accumulating until a new earning period begins September 1 (and the first day of every subsequent month).
While the maximum potential savings of $10 per month is not significant, in today's economy every little bit helps. And, since you're already playing and earning tier credits, this is the proverbial "icing on the cake."
However, if you're not earning the maximum of five 10¢/gallon fuel rewards, your savings could be as little as $2, or $4, $6 or $8 if you earn only two, three or four 10¢/gallon fuel rewards in a month. Players who regularly earn fewer than 500 tier credits per month may have to wait several months before seeing their first 10¢/gallon reward. Also, if your gas tank holds fewer than 20 gallons, or you pump less than 20 gallons, any savings won't carry over to your next fill-up.
Though there are more than 10,000 participating stations throughout the country, Shell stations in New Jersey do not participate.

Superman is known for his super powers – able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, X-ray vision, superhuman strength, heat vision, etc. Who knew he could be in two places at the same time?
Over at Borgata Casino Hotel & Spa you'll find two Superman-themed slot machines, each very different from the other.
Back near Wolfgang Puck American Grille you'll find a slot machine based on the 1978 movie, Superman, starring Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder and Gene Hackman. Periodically, film clips enhance the on-screen slot action which, in addition to the base game, offers five interactive bonuses and three progressives
Walking into the casino from the self-park garage, the other Superman machine is on the right just as you approach the table games. The major difference between this and the film-themed machine is that this one is based on the popular DC Comic books that started the Superman craze 75 years ago.
Rather than using scenes from one of the Superman films, this one uses illustrations from the popular comic book series.
Ask Mr. AC Casino
Q: It seems like everywhere I turn I see a Wizard of Oz- or Monopoly-themed machine? How many versions are there?
A: According to Amy Cardile at WMS, the slot machines' manufacturer, there are more than 70 different versions of Monopoly and 12 Wizard of Oz themes. You'll find most of them in your favorite Atlantic City casinos.

If you want to gain a much greater appreciation for the life of a casino host, personally visit the office of one of these player development executives during regular business hours. During one visit I made, in less than 10 minutes, his phones (office and cell) rang no less than 10 times. He apologized and took a couple of the calls, but most went to voicemail. (And, who knows how many emails and texts he may have received in that same time frame?) After watching him in action, it's amazing more doesn't fall through the cracks. It's an incredible balancing act, so I hope you'll keep that in mind next time you contact your host with some special request.
