Nick Anderson scored which proved to be the game-winning goal with seven minutes left as Barnegat High School defeated host Lower Cape May Regional 9-7 in a nonleague boys lacrosse match Thursday.

Anderson netted a team-high three goals for the Bengals. Brandon Jecas scored his second goal of the game with three seconds left to seal the win.

Ethan Tonnensen tallied two goals, and goalie Matt Grobelny recorded 15 saves for Barnegat.

Lower Cape May took advantage of a three-minute unnecessary-roughness penalty and scored three times in an attempt to come from behind. In that time, Jackson Sole had a goal and an assist, and Mike Frankenfield scored two of his game-high five goals. He also had an and an assist. Sole had three assists.

Goalie Dylan Essex stopped 20 shots for the Caper Tigers.
