Student-run Careme’s Gourmet Restaurant in Mays Landing is offering a brand new dinner special for its patrons through Nov. 27 for just $16.95, plus tax and gratuity.

Behind the dinner special is Chef Steven Cozzi, an Academy of Culinary Arts adjunct instructor and student as well as owner of Fuze and Fuze Italian restaurants in Avalon. Careme’s is operated by the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College.

On the menu, patrons will find dishes such as crab and shrimp souffle, egg drop duck consomme, port poached pear and gorgonzola salad, crispy skin salmon with spiced pumpkin risotto and more. Dessert features chocolate souffle tort, gingerbread cake or an apple and dried fig cobbler.

Gratuities from the dinner will be contributed to Careme’s Scholarship Endowment program for students coming into the organization.

If guests bring a nonperishable item to be donated to Hurricane Sandy relief, they will receive a $2 discount off their meal.

Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at Careme’s while classes are in session. Make a reservation by calling 609-343-4940.
