Loudon Wainwright at Landis Theater
Loudon Wainwright III and Dar Williams, two of Appel Farm audience's favorite performers, will make their "Appel Farm at the Landis" debut in a double bill 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28. This special evening for lovers of folk and acoustic music will showcase old favorites by each of the artists, as well as music from their most recent album releases.
The concert is part of Appel Farm Arts & Music Center's inaugural season at the historic Landis Theater in Vineland. Tickets are $37.50 and $50. The Landis Theater is located at 830 E. Bay Atlantic Symphony presents 'Beethoven's 9th'
For the first time in more than a decade, the Bay-Atlantic Symphony will open the 2012-2013 season with two performances of the Beethoven's famous "Symphony No. 9," taking place Saturday, Oct. 27, and Sunday, Oct. 28.
The first concert takes place 8 p.m. Saturday at Cumberland County College's Guaracini Fine & Performing Arts Center. The second show takes place 2 p.m. Sunday at The Richard Stockton College Performing Arts Center. This year, the opening program will feature Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Serenade to Music," a setting of text by Shakespeare. There will also be a quartet of soloists - Ah Hong, soprano, Jennifer Blades, mezzo soprano, Gran Wilson, tenor, and Todd Thomas, baritone - in addition to Stockton Oratorio Society Chorale and Choral Arts of Southern New Jersey.
