Learn about how wine is made in a special grape-picking session on Thursday, Sept. 30, at Natali Vineyards in Cape May.
During the free event, winemakers Alfred Natali and Ray Pensari will explain how they grow 15 varietals of grape — a different grape is harvested each Thursday — and guide participants through grape-picking techniques. After picking, learn about the winemaking process, including tips on how to store wine from the cellar to the refrigerator.
Grape picking begins at 9 a.m. at the vineyard. The event includes a complementary Tuscan-style lunch Pensari prepares at 12:30 p.m., along with a glass of wine.
Natali Vineyards is located at 221 N. Delsea Drive. For more details, call 609-465-0075 or go to www.natalivineyards.com.
