Kate McCauley Hathaway, mother of actress Anne Hathaway, will star in the play “Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End” at Cape May Stage.
The show is “a loving tribute and lampoon of life in the suburbs filled with light-hearted humor and nuggets of wisdom that give insight into the life and family of the beloved 1960s columnist,” according to the Cape May Stage website. It will run from Wednesday, May 23 to June 22.
Hathaway has previously performed in shows such as “I Hate Hamlet,” “Steel Magnolias,” “Evita” and “Les Miserables.” She is currently on the board of directors at Cape May Stage.
“Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End” was directed by Marlena Lustik and written by Allison Engel and Margaret Engel.
