The best players in professional women's golf come to South Jersey this week for the ShopRite LPGA Classic, beginning Monday, May 28, and running through Sunday, June 3, at the historic Bay Course at Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club.

Players from the Ladies Professional Golf Association will compete for a $1.5 million purse in the 54-hole, official LPGA event, which will again be televised live on Golf Channel.

Players include Rolex Rankings No. 1 Yani Tseng and 2011 ShopRite LPGA Classic Champion Brittany Lincicome, as well as all 2012 tour winners: Jessica Korda, Angela Stanford, Sue Young Yoo, Ai Miyazato and Stacy Lewis.

ShopRite will once again offer Price Plus Card holders two free daily grounds tickets by showing a valid Price Plus Card at the tournament's main admission gate. Children 17 and younger are free, and fire, police and military personnel will be admitted free all three days with proper identification.

Practice and Pro-Am rounds held Monday, May 28, through Thursday, May 31, are free to all patrons.

At 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, the tournament will host the ShopRite LPGA Classic Million Dollar Shootout at the 18th hole. The public is invited to watch 25 finalists - winners of a closest-to-the-hole contest from participating clubs - attempt to collect $1 million by hitting a hole in one from 150 yards.
