Iron Chef Jose Garces will participate in several events during Revel’s inaugural Taste of Revel weekend, including an ‘Art of Paella’ session at Amada on Saturday, May 19.

Revel will give a sneak preview of its much buzzed-about roster of more than a dozen restaurants with a three-day food, wine and cocktail event from Friday, May 18, to Sunday, May 20.

Taste of Revel, a joint venture with Food & Wine and Travel + Leisure magazines, will showcase the upscale casino resort’s extraordinary range of culinary talent.

Highlights include a two-hour kickoff party with Revel chefs Michel Richard (Central, O Wine Bar), Robert Wiedmaier (Mussel Bar), Alain Allegretti (Azure) and Iron Chefs Jose Garces (Amada, Village Whiskey, Distrito Cantina) and Marc Forgione (American Cut); as well as sessions about “The Art of Paella” with Garces; “Big Fish” preparation with Allegretti; and how to “Conquer the Steak” with Forgione.

There also will be VIP box experiences tied to performances by Maroon 5 and The Black Keys at Revel’s Ovation Hall, multicourse VIP dinners with Richard and Weidmaier, beer and wine tastings, and a healing yoga and tea cleanse in conjunction with Revel’s spa.

The weekend culminates in an over-the-top “Pig Out,” featuring the chefs’ multiple takes on the other white meat.

Friday, May 18

Maroon 5 Concert Pre-Drink: Ticket holders for Maroon 5’s show at Ovation Hall will receive a free glass of prosecco at Lugo Cucina e Vino with $10 minimum food purchase.

Maroon 5 VIP Box: Enjoy a special menu hosted by Travel + Leisure’s Features Director Nilou Motamed, with wine pairings by Food & Wine’s Anthony Giglio, during the concert. 7:30 p.m., Ovation Hall, $250

The Taste of Revel Weekend Kickoff: Celebrity chefs Jose Garces, Robert Wiedmaier, Michel Richard, Alain Allegretti and Marc Forgione will give their takes on Boardwalk-themed food specialties, with drinks prepared by in-house mixologists. 7 to 9 p.m., location to be determined, $95

Pastry Party with Michel Richard: The acclaimed chef will wow you with his signature chocolate bar, other sweets and indulgent cocktails. 9 to 11 p.m., The Row, $75

Saturday, May 19

Liquid Brunch: Get the party started with cocktails and DJ music. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., The Social, cash bar

The Big Fish Breakdown: Alain Allegretti, chef at Revel’s Azure by Allegretti, and Joe Buonadonna of Samuel & Sons Seafood will team up for a demo to cook a whole tuna, along with a tasting of four fish dishes paired with champagne. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Azure by Allegretti, $100

Conquer the Steak: Iron Chef and Michelin-starred chef Marc Forgione will school you on cuts of beef, flavor profiles and marbling, share cooking tips and offer samples of various dishes with wine pairings. Noon to 1 p.m., American Cut, $85

Art of Paella: Iron Chef and acclaimed Philadelphia-based restaurateur Jose Garces will lead you through the preparation and tasting of this famous Spanish dish, while offering a selection of tapas and sangria. 2 to 3 p.m., Amada, $85

Beer and Cheese Pairing: Chef Robert Wiedmaier will demonstrate the art of pairing Belgian beer with artisanal cheeses. 2 to 3 p.m., Outside of Ovation Hall, $65

World Cup Wine Tasting: Sommelier and educator Anthony Giglio will lead a tasting of more than six wines, with participants getting to vote on their favorite. 5:30 to 7 p.m, The Row, $85

VIP Dinner with Robert Wiedmaier: The Washington, D.C.-based chef behind Marcel’s and Brasserie Beck will conjure up an old-world Belgian roadhouse with a menu slated to feature whole roast suckling pig, pheasant foie gras ravioli and raspberry souffle. 7 p.m., Mussel Bar by Robert Wiedmaier, $300 per couple, $1,800 for a party of 12

Elemental Tea Tasting and Yoga Detox Flow: Unwind with a detoxifying yoga class incorporating a healing tea tasting designed to help with digestion and boost your immune system. 10 to 11 a.m., Bask Spa, $37

Pig Out: The name says it all — Revel chefs serve a feast of their most famous pork dishes, including Jose Garces’ whole roasted suckling pig; Marc Forgione’s tete de cochon and Robert Wiedmaier’s pork belly. Noon to 3 p.m., Outside location to be announced, $100
