When it comes to Oktoberfest there’s always a party at the Jersey Shore, and this weekend it’s in the Wildwoods.

The Pacific Avenue Block Party is hosting a Cornhole and Craft Beer Festival 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13.

Patrons will bring their cornhole A-game  to the tournament, which begins at 8 a.m. and ends with a $500 prize for first place. Second place is awarded $200 and $100 goes to third through fifth place.

To enter the tournament, sign up online at pacificaveblockparty.org. Registration is $35 online and $20 the day of the festival.

Live entertainment will be provided by the Sindi Raymond Band and face painting and a bouncy house will be available for children.

Beginning at 10 a.m., craft beer will be flowing up and down Pacific Avenue between Garfield and Schellenger avenues, as guests have 12 different Oktoberfest options to taste.

For $30, participants receive a custom souvenier glass, t-shirt and the opportunity to taste all 12 beers, including Widmer Okto., Tommyknocker Pumpkin and Tuckahoe Pumpkin. Cornhole tournament competitors can get a reduced $25 entry free to the tasting. You can also sign up online at pacificaveblockparty.org to receive a pre-registration rate of $25 to the tasting.
